A tracheotomy is an operation in which a small opening is made into the windpipe (trachea) through a cut made in the skin on the neck. After the skin has healed, the opening is called a stoma or tracheostomy. A tracheostomy opens the airway and aids breathing.
Routine tracheostomy care should be done at least once a day after a patient is discharged from the hospital. Our experienced nurses will do all the proper care and routine management such as supervision and monitoring, suctioning, tracheostomy tube changes, Stoma care and communication, among others.
